Younger drivers may never have touched a manual transmission. Everyone else will immediately want to prove they still remember. For this challenge, the gas and gears are automatic: start the engine, watch the tach and hit SHIFT at exactly the right moment. Turn up your sound—the Mustang responds to every move.
The gas is automatic—this is now a fast reaction challenge.
That’s it: on a phone or tablet, only tap the large START and SHIFT buttons. You never need to touch the numbered gear indicators.
Watch the gear: each successful tap advances automatically from 1st to 2nd to 3rd to 4th.
What kills the run: missing the 1.5-second window. Miss the signal and you will need to restart.
